Can't launch the game

So I have the game on the EA app, not on steam, installed it through lutris, after setting the path manually in the app it recognized it but when I try to launch it opens up steam which then complains about not having a license. How can I fix that?

Viper is mostly made to launch the game via Steam on Linux, but if you're not using Steam you can set the "Linux launch method" setting to "Custom command" and then fill out the "Northstar launch command" and "Vanilla launch command" settings as needed.

You can set these to use the Lutris CLI commands needed to launch the game. i.e: lutris lutris:rungameid/<id> the ID can be found from lutris -l (it is the first column)

well... it still doesn't launch it... I guess I'm not playing with northstar and mods then. I'm not buying the game again on steam just for this.

Remember to add -northstar to Titanfall 2's launch options in the EA App, and adding, and if it still doesn't launch try installing NorthstarProton which fixes some issue with Wine/Proton preventing the -northstar argument from working.
