Adding Usb otg support for concept 2 - Pm3 not sure Pm2 supports it

for some of us with older hardware can i make an addition for usb support ? This would mean flashing this to a dual usb-c esp32 board which im currently testing and getting responses from my Pm3 ? if interested let me know i can create the code and contribute >

I am not sure what the purpose of such would be.

What I would really be interested though if through such otg support I would be able to plug in a ANT+ stick and communicate to it :) (the ANT+ sport profile I can implement but I was not really able to get the low level communication both the otg and the ANT protocol right).

ive got otg working on my pm3 i wanted Bluetooth and ability for connectivity more over then Pm5 hence why im doing this . Esp32 Otg is communicating i have some data populating on the bus . Just need to complete it and might create a plugin that links the back end usb to the front end of the app you have created . Use case is to allow any one with any pm3 pm4 pm5 to connect the esp and upload data directly to Strava etc as well as download logs and add features like Ant+ which im sure can be done just not sure how many Devices we can have on the otg port need to check .

Thanks. But there are simpler solution for this. i.e. making these old PMs BLE capable (https://github.com/tijmenvangulik/ErgometerJS , https://github.com/droogmic/Py3Row , https://github.com/addixon/ErgCompetePM https://github.com/tijmenvangulik/PM3Monitor/ just to name a few). They all implement the CSAFE protocol for USB so they can read and send commands to the PMs.

ESP Rowing Monitor is a replacement for any rowing monitor (like PM2-3-4-5 what ever). Its not supposed to download and read the data from managed by the PM and send it via BLE. Its supposed to interface the rower hardware (flywheel) directly via a sensor and calculate the metrics from these raw measurement.

So technically it already allows anyone with any pm (Actually with the rower without the pm) to connect you just need to have the sensor. Also actually ESPRM (but more specifically OpenRowingMontior) is capable to produce more accurate data than the C2 PMs, its algorithm is more robust etc.

As a side note, Concept 2 practically abandoned CSAFE when introduced the PM5 and implemented their BLE protocol (which is still has issues conceptually).
