2. Project Information:
This project is for the Streamflow_Evaluator tool to support backend data storage and query of NWIS and NWMv2.1 data model for public sharing when using the CIROH Streamflow_Evaluator tool - https://github.com/AlabamaWaterInstitute/Streamflow_Evaluator
3. Resource Requirements:
The only need here is for S3 bucket storage to support public data access for the tool. Below is the folder directory framework
S3 – public access bucket name suggestion; "Streamflow_Evaluator_Data_Model" ~ 20 GB
Folder structure:
Data
NWIS
NWMv2.1
WBD
Streamstats
Each subfolder under Data subfolders contains NHD or NWIS_id reaches/sites, and WBD contains geodatabase folders. The goal is to be able to access each file within the folder(s) when called on by the filename.
4. Timeline:
The goal would be to have the data storage component for the project completed by Mid-May to support the UA REU program.
5. Security and Compliance Requirements:
We would like to support read access for the public so that they can use the Streamflow_Evaluator tool as long as they are in the CIROH user group.
6. Budget:
No budget constraints as of 4-18-2023. This project will be a proof of demonstration.
