[Feature Request] allow old 'replacement of specific item' function

At the moment, you can only change how your own car looks and only do that from outside the game. If there was an option to use the 'turn item X into item Y' function of older AC versions, you could easily change your look ingame with the inbuilt preset option (which is more convenient than tabbing out) and also affect other cars.
For example, I absolutely hate the motormouth engine sound and would really like to replace it with something else, but am not interested in changing any other engine sound configuration - neither mine nor that of others.
