🛠️ Code Contributions

  1. Fork the repository:

    git fork https://github.com/your-repo/OptEx.git
    cd OptEx
  2. Create a new branch for your feature/fix:

    git checkout -b feature-or-fix-name
  3. Install dependencies:

    npm install
  4. Set up environment variables by creating a .env file (see .env.example).

  5. Run the development server:

    npm run dev
  6. Commit changes using Conventional Commits:

    git commit -m "feat: add AI-based receipt scanning"

    Examples:

    • feat : a new feature
    • fix : a bug fix
    • docs : documentation changes
    • style : formatting, missing semi-colons, etc.
    • refactor : code refactor without feature change
    • test : adding or updating tests
  7. Push your branch:

    git push origin feature-or-fix-name
  8. Open a Pull Request (PR):

    • Provide a clear description of your changes.
