Pair command still not working after update to 2.0.2

After update to 2.0.2 "adb pair" is still showing as unknown command. Was the version of ADB server updated in this latest release? Adb version command still shows 29.0.6-debian and it looks like the adb binary was not updated. It would really be nice to be able to pair devices running newer versions of Android. Thanks.

the latest build switched from android-tools-linux to android-sdk-platform-tools which is a more upto date version of the ADB server but not the latest release from google, this is typical with debian for the releases in APT to be older than the latest available from source, will look at the possibility of downloading and building the latest version direct from google rather than using APT

Thank you that would be great if implemented! This addon is so useful for my older Android devices and being able to pair and connect my newer devices to Home Assistant would be icing on the cake!

Hi, tx for the addon ! Why not base your dockerfile on Ubuntu 24.04 image ? It has adb 34.0.4 available in its repos and it is not much heavier than the debian image

This isn't a standard Debian os this is a Home assistant modified version of Debian as can be seen in build.json and as I understand it addons need to use this modified OS however I have asked in the home assistant GitHub if it's possible to use a different OS for clarification

Oh ok, my bad, I'm not familiar with HA add-ons requirements. Maybe it has to do with the possible architectures of the hardware running HA? Then I guess building from source might work too as you suggested

Following for when the fix is implemented. All my Chromecasts have been updated to Android 14 and now can not pair without the pair code

The pair command would be also beneficial for remote controlling Fire HD tablets :)

i will be pushing an update today which builds the latest version from google however this is only for AMD64 devices as google only releases an AMD64 release, other devices will still use the apt version, as im not making this rely on a release of ADB from an unknown 3rd party for other architectures

Buth with android 14 every time my chromecast reboots, wireless debugging gets turned off.
