Mate, I think the issue you are having with the code you want to write is a lack of understanding what the code actually does.

Pull up the list file tag index PCGen Documentation that is the source of truth for all tags the lst files use. If you pull up TEMPBONUS you will see this syntax guide:

It explains that TEMPBONUS:EQ|y is equipment types, that is all of those period separated names after TYPE on the equipment itself.

Here is an example of defined types for Banded Mail:
TYPE:ArmorProfHeavy.ArmorType_Heavy.Container.Armor.Heavy.ArmorProfHeavy.ArmorType_Heavy.Suit.Standard

Another for a shield:
TYPE:ShieldProfHeavy.Container.Shield.Heavy.Standard.ShieldProf

If you want to target all armor and shields, then the type to capture all of those is simple: Shield,Armor

Furthermore, syntax in defining the types is filtered you have AND using period (.), OR using comma (,) or separator for another group using semicolon (;). Pipe is never used in the separation as that denotes another segment of the tag itself.

TEMPBONUS:EQ|Shield.Heavy;Armor.Heavy| would isolate only Shields or Armor that also had a separate Heavy type.

King said the "Description" can not be added into the TEMPBONUS on the Character sheet but the name of the TEMPBONUS will show on the Weapon/Armor/Shield on the character sheet
