Currently if a display dies, it just stops refreshing and it isn't obvious immediately that it's happened. Alerting may help but ideally a display could render an error page if the battery gets too low. A client-side (in ESPHome) implementation would be nice as it's not dependent upon the server being reachable but a server-side solution is OK once metrics are functional.
