new startup setting option: primary recording after clear sets buffer/recording length

It would be incredibly useful if we hade a startup option (off/on) thing, where if "on" an initial recording after a clear sets the buffer/recording length.

So, you clear the buffer, which removes the noise. Then hit record and record a loop between 0 to 5 seconds, lets say 3 seconds.

That 3 seconds now becomes your total loop length until you clear again. This would be exceptionalllllly useful. Please add this!!

Agree, this makes sense from how I use it. Having the extra space there means I have to spend more time making the loop if it isn't full length.
