[family-assembly] swivel_clamp_connector_joint #57

Description

@sunzhenchuan007

Family: swivel_clamp_connector_joint

Anchor: JW Winco GN 490 aluminum product page, official PDF, and official drawing SVG.

Scope: aluminum GN 490 equal-diameter joints, Type A socket screw or Type B adjustable lever. Exclude stainless NI, mixed diameters, rods/tubes, and undocumented angular capability. Unlike fixed display/speaker mounts, GN 490 has four jaws and two clamp pairs sharing a central axis.

Dimension table

Official metric rows; d3 is the nominal thread designation. Min/max are summaries only.

d1=d2 d3 d4 l1 l2 l3 l4 l5 m
8 (min) M6 28 33 35 45 14 5 13
10 M8 32 45 45 63 20 5 15
12 M8 36 47 45 63 21 5 17
14 M8 46 57 55 78 25.5 6 20
15 M10 46 57 55 78 25.5 6 21
16 M10 46 57 55 78 25.5 6 22
18 M10 56 63 55 78 28.5 6 24
20 (max) M10 56 65 55 78 28.5 8 28

Across the table: d1=d2 8–20, d3 M6–M10, d4 28–56, l1 33–65, l2 35–55, l3 45–78, l4 14–28.5, l5 5–8, m 13–28 mm.

Parameters to verify at claim

  • catalog_row / clamp_d: one of [8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20]; it fixes d1=d2, d3, d4, l1l5, and m from the same row. Do not sample, interpolate, or cross-mix dependent fields.
  • actuator_type: A (DIN 912 socket screw) or B (adjustable lever). MT matte/tumbled and SW black textured finish are metadata, not geometry. Published aluminum order codes allow all 8 rows × 2 types × 2 finishes; mixed d1/d2 combinations are excluded.
  • Difficulty: easy = 14/15/16, Type A; medium = 10/12/14/15/16/18, A/B; hard = all eight rows including 8 and 20, A/B.
  • Visible partition: six solids—four jaw/body segments, one connected simplified actuator, and one simplified spring. Rods/tubes are context only.
  • At claim, verify row/type, drawing labels, grooves, actuator silhouette, captions, preview, and six-solid topology agree.

Engineering constraints

  • Both jaw pairs form visible V-grooves around nominal clamp_d. JW Winco says the groove bridges a greater diameter tolerance but publishes no numeric tolerance; do not invent one.
  • The central passage and V-grooves must leave positive, non-degenerate jaw material. Four jaws, actuator, and spring must neither disappear nor unintentionally fuse.
  • Type A uses the socket-screw form; Type B uses the adjustable-lever form. In the drawing/reference pose, the Type B envelope guided by l2/l3 must clear all four jaws.
  • No swivel-angle range is published. Do not expose or claim a sourced swivel_angle; any fixed reference-pose angle required by construction is "proportion", not catalog capability.
  • Treat casting draft, fillets, chamfers, residual wall rules, V-tip radius/blends, spring wire/coil/end geometry, Type B intermediate lever profile/end radius/hub transitions, Type A secondary screw/nut dimensions, threads, knurling, insert, and distance-bushing details as "proportion" or omit them.
  • A stable benchmark may collapse screw, nut, insert, and bushing into one actuator solid and simplify the spring, but must disclose this departure from the physical BOM. Finish/material metadata and catalog dimensions do not validate clamp force, torque, load capacity, motion, or service performance.
