- Definitions
"Software" refers to BinaryFetch, including its source code, binaries, configuration files, documentation, and associated assets.
"Author" refers to Maruf Hasan.
"Administration" refers to InterCentury.
"You" refers to any individual or entity using the Software.
- Grant of Permission
You are free to:
- Use the Software for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
- Run, test, and benchmark the Software.
- Modify the Software for personal or internal use.
- Distribute the official BinaryFetch binaries or setup executables.
- Share configuration files, profiles, and ASCII art created for BinaryFetch.
- Conditions (MANDATORY)
All permissions are granted only if the following conditions are met.
3.1 Attribution Required
You must retain the following in all copies, distributions, and derivative works:
- Original author credit: Maruf Hasan
- Administration name: InterCentury
- This license file
3.2 No Ownership Claim
You may not:
- Claim authorship or ownership of BinaryFetch.
- Present BinaryFetch as your own original project.
- Remove, modify, or hide author or administration attribution.
3.3 No Repository Re-Hosting
You may not clone, fork, mirror, or upload the BinaryFetch source code to any public repository, including but not limited to:
- GitHub
- GitLab
- Bitbucket
- Gitee
- Self-hosted Git services
This restriction applies to modified versions, partial copies, rebranded versions, or derivative works.
Explicit written permission from the Author is required for any public source re-hosting.
3.4 Derivative Distribution Restriction
- Modified versions may not be distributed publicly as standalone projects.
- Private or internal modifications are allowed.
- Contributions must be submitted only to the official BinaryFetch repository.
- Binary Distribution
You may redistribute unmodified official BinaryFetch binaries, including:
- Setup executables
- Portable builds
- Bundled system images or tool collections
Provided that:
- The name "BinaryFetch" is preserved.
- Attribution to the Author and Administration is visible.
- No ownership claim is made.
- No Trademark Rights
This license does not grant permission to use the BinaryFetch name, logos, or branding for promotional or commercial branding purposes without explicit permission.
- No Warranty
The Software is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind.
The Author and Administration are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Software.
- Termination
Any violation of this license automatically terminates all granted rights.
Upon termination, you must immediately stop using and distributing the Software.
Attribution obligations remain in effect even after termination.
- Governing Principle
BinaryFetch is an authored engineering project, not abandonware.
Respect the work. Respect the author.
