eCash, just not the Chaumian kind...? (lol).

Another Bitcoin hard fork drops in August - Paul Sztorc's "eCash" activates BIP300/301 (drivechains - hashrate escrows and blind merged mining) and controversially reassigns ~500k Patoshi coins to "early investors".

Might be worth a discussion on what BIP300/301 actually propose, and why they've sat un-merged for almost a decade (despite being soft forks).

Are drivechains a good idea? The problems Sztorc is trying to address:

• Trust-minimised scaling
• Governance gridlock
• Long-term mining fee sustainability

...are all very real and worth discussing.

*To be clear, the eCash fork has nothing to do with Chaumian eCash - other than the name they both share
