unable to fetch lens correction data from settings

I'm having an issue similar to #149 where when I click Check for lens correction updates it says Database Unavailable from server. The other 2 buttons don't work either:

When I go to https://wilson.bronger.org/lensfun-db/ manually, I get a 403 Forbidden.

What operating system are you on, and what build are you using? Is there any process isolation involved that is blocking internet access?

The camera constants are fetched from GitHub, and the lensfun database is still available for me. The lensfun database location is always 403 forbidden from web browsers.
