Hi Maintainer, Please, is this Database opulation bounty program still open? |
|
@ArseniiPetrovich Quick idea 💡 — what if contributors get +10% to their PR reward if they post the PR link on Twitter, tag us, and the PR later gets approved? It could help spread the word and reward contributors for promoting their work! Lmk wdyt |
October SummaryIn October, we welcomed our first external contributor, who earned $69.15 USDT for improving our open database of Web3 solutions. We’re now inviting more contributors to join the Chain.Love Grant Program — help expand and refine the database that supports the entire ecosystem, and get rewarded in USDC/USDT. The rules applied are in the first post of this discussion. Contribute to the common good, enhance public infrastructure, and get paid for your impact 💚 |
November SummaryWe continued growing our open-source community and rewarded contributors with 28.5 USDT for improving and expanding our database of Web3 infrastructure solutions. As we enter the next month, we’re excited to announce that rewards for contributions to the Arbitrum ecosystem will be doubled❗️to support builders who help us strengthen this part of the Toolbox. And with the end of the year approaching, we may have a few surprises prepared for our most active contributors. Join the effort, help improve public Web3 infrastructure, and get rewarded for your impact! |

Hello is this program still open for contribution ? |
|
We are making an ammendment to our Grant Program: This is made to improve the contribution process - bigger PRs are way harder to verify, and they increase chances to introduce a bug. |
|
Ammendment - adding Aptos and Sonic chains (effective immediately), removing Linea and Stellar (effective 1st January 2026) |
|
Hey, everyone :) |
December SummaryIn December, we continued expanding the Chain.Love open-source database and supporting community-driven contributions that improve the discovery and transparency of Web3 infrastructure. 💸 December rewards total: $322.75 Rewards were distributed based on:
As a reminder, contributions related to the Arbitrum ecosystem are rewarded with a 2× multiplier until January 15, as part of our ongoing effort to strengthen this part of the Toolbox. Thank you to everyone who contributed in December. Join the effort, help improve public Web3 infrastructure, and get rewarded for your impact. |

Good day everyone! you will get x2 for 2 full-line records, and regular x1 rewards for another 2 full-line records. |

@ArseniiPetrovich TON has not been added to existing networks. |

@iamhappy2day, @ark-kirill I would like to open a discussion regarding our bounty program. Overall, the program is clearly working: we see growing participation and more developers contributing to the database. However, we have started to encounter a recurring issue that we likely need to address. One of the original motivations behind this project is the observation that AI-based discovery of Web3 services is heavily unreliable, as AI is only as good as its sources. This often results in AI-"hallucinated" tools or incorrect feature claims in responses — something we also touched on in our recent zCash forum post. Because of this, when attracting contributors, our expectation is that submissions are verified by humans. Using AI for assistance (syntax checks, formatting, minor edits, etc.) is completely fine — we all do that. I mean, even this post is paraphrased by AI to simply improve wordings a bit, lol :)) At the moment, we do not formally check whether a contribution is AI-generated. That alone is not an issue. It becomes one when the validation effort on our side grows disproportionately large. Recently, both @gladiator439rimski-ship-it and I have had PRs that required 30+ messages to explain fundamental issues to our contributors. And while clarifying schema details, column formats, or references for newcomers is expected and acceptable (our system is not trivial), what is becoming critical, however, is the increasing number of PRs that include:
In several cases, the links did exist years ago but were removed. This strongly suggests reliance on historical AI data without basic manual verification. Any human opening the link would immediately see the issue. This creates an unhealthy imbalance: reviewers spend significantly more time validating and correcting submissions than contributors spend generating them. Given that this is a paid bounty program (which is perfectly fine), I believe our incentives should reward not just volume, but correctness. As a proposal for discussion: a) Increase the reward per correctly contributed cell (e.g. 0.075–0.1). This policy could be waived for first-time contributors or the first few PRs, to avoid discouraging newcomers. At the moment we have nearly 30 open PRs, and the review process is becoming unsustainable. I want contributors to stay motivated, but I also want to protect the core team — especially @gladiator439rimski-ship-it — from repeated frustration caused by the same avoidable issues. This is only a proposal. Before making any changes, I would very much like to hear feedback and alternative ideas from the community. |
Amendment: Quality gatewayStarting from 1st of February 2026 we introduce an amendment aimed to improve the quality of the code. For that we:
Each time the quality gateway is not passed - the reward for the PR is reduced by 30%. To ensure the system is not going to be abused - if the PR that failed quality gateway was closed or left unattended, the reward will be reduced from another PR of the same user.
The math is following
Note: if you want to open a PR that is not ready for the review yet - use the "Draft" feature when opening the PR to clearly show that it should not be reviewed yet. Otherwise, the review may happen at any given point in time after the PR creation. |

okay |

@ArseniiPetrovich i have some thoughts running in my mind
|
|
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm keeping my hand on a pulse for payments, it should be released soon. |
|
Good day, dear contributors. Unfortunately, due to lower demand, starting from August 11th we exclude Arbitrum and Ethereum from our bounty program. Thank you for your efforts! |

is there any other opportunity coming this month. the accepted network list looks narrow now |
|
Wow, what a month, huh?! :) There were 124 merged PRs coming from 22 unique contributors!!
Total rewards are calculated and sent to finance for settlement. Will keep you posted. |
|
An extension to our grant program has been released => #2691 For all of you participating in Chain-Love for over 3 months it is a great chance to significantly increase your monthly rewards. |
|
Submitted a focused DBIP proposal for review: #2713 It proposes an optional Reward address: |
|
Hi @ArseniiPetrovich — a quick question about the July settlement, not a chase. You posted on 6 August that July's rewards were calculated and sent to finance. Going by My wallet is registered in this thread (posted 4 August, before the round was calculated), Thanks for running the programme — the weekly digests have been genuinely useful. |
|
Hi @ArseniiPetrovich - a quick note, not chasing the July round (saw @EazyHood's Aug 17 question on that one is still open). #2687 merged on August 17, so mine would fall into the August batch rather than July's. Flagging it here so it is on the radar for the September summary, and confirming the reward address on file: No rush - happy to wait for the normal cycle. |
|
@ArseniiPetrovich registering the Ethereum payout address for August merged work, same format as other contributors in this thread. USDC/USDT (Ethereum mainnet): Merged this cycle:
The same address is already on those PR bodies/comments. Flagging them here for the September monthly summary. Not chasing open PRs. |
|
@ArseniiPetrovich registering the Ethereum payout address for August merged work, using the same address already present in the PR body. USDC/USDT (Ethereum mainnet): Merged this cycle:
#3174 remains open and is not included here. Flagging only for the normal monthly settlement; no rush. |
|
@ArseniiPetrovich registering the Ethereum payout address for our August merged work, using the same project-owned address already present in the PR bodies. USDC/USDT (Ethereum mainnet): Merged this cycle:
Please include only the amounts determined by the official compensator in the normal monthly settlement. #2994 is not included because its compensation review is 0.00 USDC, and open PRs are not included. |

@ArseniiPetrovich registering the Ethereum payout address for my August merged work, using the same address already present in the PR body. USDC/USDT (Ethereum mainnet): Merged this cycle:
Please include only the amount determined by the official compensator in the normal monthly settlement. #2557 is not included because its final suggested compensation is 0.00 USDC, and open PRs are not included. |

@ArseniiPetrovich registering the Ethereum payout address for my August merged work, using the USDC/USDT (Ethereum mainnet): Merged this cycle:
Ten of these carry a compensation review, including #2452, which was assessed at 1.26 USDC earlier Open PRs are not included. |

@ArseniiPetrovich — a heads-up for the September reconciliation, so that my address does not get tied to work that is not mine. 29 of the 36 PRs opened by @Larslllllll on 2–3 September (e.g. #3562, #3589, #3592) carry my rewards address in their "Reward address" line: I have no connection with that account and did not ask for this. The line looks copied from PR bodies in this repo: one of those PRs (#3567) carries another contributor's address from this thread instead. None of the 36 is merged as of today. Please do not attribute those PRs to me, and do not route any reward for them to my address. What I am claiming is only the work under my own account: the merged PRs I listed above on Aug 29, and my four approved DBIPs (#2460, #2481, #2681, #2682). |
