i came here in the hopes of finding a spotdl alternative, and i'm so glad i did!
to be totally honest, i don't really know anything about coding or all of this stuff, i'm just someone who wants to put their mp3 player to good use. but i think the fact even someone like me can use this tool with such ease speaks to how great it is!

anyways, it worked like a charm! it was quick and easy to install, and had no issues while running. i was also surprised at how fast all of the songs downloaded too! the only thing that stumped me for a second was where to find them once downloading was completed, but that was easily solved by just searching for the mp3 file name.

all that said, please do keep working on this project! i know i'm super thankful to benefit from it if you do, haha.

I'm glad that you enjoy this application! I am curious, may i ask you a couple of questions?

• How did you find SomeDL?
• What OS are you running SomeDL on (Windows, Linux, Mac)
• Did you need to install ffmpeg or was it installed already (through spotdl)?

Also, I am happy to inform you that that I am currently working on a big update: Fixing some bugs and enabling user configuration (Custom filenames, default folders and more!).

The files are per default downloaded into the directory from where you are running the command from. With the next update you will be able to configure a default folder for your downloads.
