My name ist Stefanie.

I'm trying to integrate my pets and their devices since I started my HomeAssistant journey. However the "official" SurePetCare Integration is barely an Integration if you asked me and the sureHA is nice but messy (since it was an beta repo, I guess :D).
I applaud you for trying to improve and fix this repo. Just a humble question. Would it be wise to maybe start over to not work around the messy parts, I would be more then happy to help :)

Honestly I am not sure if I am able to write the whole component by myself - and this is the reason, why I am using a fork of SureHA... :)
Also, at the moment, I don't have much time to work on this - right now, I am also on a business trip and the hotel-wifi here is really not the best... :D

The main problem ist, that SureHA and SurePetCare integration by HomeAssistant are using the same library - and this is most probably the most important part to do some rework and improve.
Yet, I was not able to look into this in detail to see where I need to make changes... and I am pretty sure, that SurePet itself made changes to their api, because they don't want third-party applications connecting to their services... :-(

therefore, it is like playing a game with them... ^^
