Do we need information from the server side for the jobs?

• Lustre jobstats
• BeeGFS usage reports
• etc.

How could this look like? How can the metric plots be shown in the web interface?

While some information can be related back to a job (Lustre jobstats), others might be more difficult. Maybe we can get a hostname out but if not, it would be like "node view" with different metrics than compute nodes. Whether and how it is presented to users is a different topic, server side monitoring is commonly more intended for the administration staff.

I myself would refrain from doing server-side monitoring. I can see having simple stats about cluster frontends (logged in users, current load) because that might be of interest for users but sysadmins commonly have their own monitoring system in place.
