Currently CCMS is standalone time-series database for storing node specific data. It does not depend on any external database but relies on CC metric collected to send data periodically. A new feature request is to make CCMS the middleware between user's existing time-series database (like InfluxDB or Prometheus etc) and still be able to source the time series data required by CC backend.
