React Curriculum V4 Rewrite (2025-04-03 - ongoing)

Discussions here focus around the next iteration of the React curriculum for CTD's 11-week React course. This tool will help capture discussion and decisions during the re-write process. Even if you are not a member of the re-write team, anyone involved with CTD in any way are welcome to contribute!

Just as a question from having gone through all of this, we're dropping then:

• Styling
• Deploying an app and React ecosystem
• Advanced state with useReducer

Some sort of running tracker may be a good idea.

Putting this here to make it easier to keep track - what about useContext? Are we getting rid of that too? That's going to make practicum harder IMO.

Think we should def keep useContext in my opinion. Hypothetically, have 1 lesson be about useState and hooks in general, another going into other hooks like useEffect and useRef, and potentially incorporate useContext in that.
