On OSX the screencapture command line tool can be used to capture the screen. If we add a menu item to "Take Screenshot" which runs "screencapture -T 3 -t png test.png" then automatically opens and analyzes the captured image we can save several steps. With the keyboard shortcut features in OSX we would then be able to have d3bit open in the background and using a hot-key screenshot and analyze gear as we go.
