Make Example launcher for Package

As the title says, it would be nice to have a launcher for the package so that people could get at the examples.

It would also be nice if it did some nice introductory print-out (or render into the patcher) like identify the version of Java currently installed, maybe show some class path information, and so on.

Is the mxj for Max 7/8 currently being built directly from this repo?
