Welcome! OpenMat is an open, community-built GMAT Focus Edition prep bank, and it's early β which means high-leverage first contributions are everywhere. This issue is a map of the best ways to help. No expertise required for several of them.
New here? Read CONTRIBUTING.md and CONTENT_SCHEMA.md, then pick something below. Comment to claim it so we don't double up.
βοΈ Write an original question (uncovered subtopic)
The bank has gaps against the taxonomy in curriculum.md. Currently thin or missing, e.g.:
- Quant β word-problems:
mixtures, interest, translation
- Quant β number-properties:
remainders, odds-evens-signs
- Quant β counting-probability:
combinatorics
- Verbal β critical-reasoning:
paradox; reading-comprehension: dense-passages
Copy an existing file from content/questions/, follow the schema, write a full worked explanation (for someone who got it wrong) and 1β2 hints. Set status: in-review. Must be your own original work β no copied real GMAT questions.
β
Review & verify an in-review question (no writing required)
Every question needs a second person to confirm the answer and explanation before it's verified. Pick any in-review file, solve it without peeking at the keyed answer, confirm exactly one choice is right, then open a PR bumping status: verified and adding your handle to reviewers. This is the single most unblocking thing you can do.
π Write a concept lesson
Any topic in curriculum.md without a lesson in content/lessons/. Follow the lesson schema: overview, core concepts, worked examples, common traps, key takeaways.
π Report a bad answer or typo
Found a wrong answer or a confusing explanation? Open an issue with the question id β that's a real contribution too.
Maintainers: please add good first issue and help wanted labels and pin this issue.
