Before making changes in a new session:
- Read
AGENTS.mdcompletely. - Read
docs/PROJECT_STATE.mdcompletely. - Inspect Git status. If
.gitis absent, report that limitation instead of inventing a clean or dirty status. - Treat actual code, tests, and outputs as the final source of truth.
- Treat
docs/PROJECT_STATE.mdas the persistent project handoff. - Do not repeat already verified expensive experiments without a concrete reason.
- Do not modify
FROZENcomponents without explicit new evidence or user request. - Do not introduce testcase-specific hacks or task-ID branches.
- Prefer general fixes with regression tests.
- Clearly distinguish
PASS,FAIL,LIMITATION,NOT TESTED,PLANNED, andFROZEN. - The presence of legacy World Model, collector, MPPI, V-JEPA, Dreamer, or TD-MPC2 code does not mean it is integrated with or validated on the current Helsinki navigation stack.
Before ending a substantial session:
- Update
docs/PROJECT_STATE.md. - Record only work actually completed.
- Record exact validation results.
- Record important output paths.
- Record new limitations.
- Record architecture decisions.
- Record the next milestone.
- Make the file usable by a fresh Codex session with no chat history.
