Wear OS: Keyboard IME action issues on Galaxy Watch8 — cannot send in WhatsApp & text not committing in Browser

Reported on Galaxy Watch8 running Wear OS 6.0 / One UI 8.0 Watch. Transcription itself works perfectly (Dictate Cloud), but IME input handling/actions behave inconsistently across different apps.

What happens (App Breakdown)

1. WhatsApp (Wear OS)

• Open a conversation and tap the text field → Dictate keyboard opens as default. (screenshot, screenshot)
• Tap record → Dictate transcribes speech and outputs the correct text into the input field. (screenshot)
• There is no send button in this screen. (screenshot)
• Issue: Pressing the Enter key on the Dictate keypad does not submit the message to the chat, unlike the stock Wear OS keyboard, where pressing Enter/Action submits directly. The user is left with transcribed text in the box but no way to send it from the watch UI.

2. Browser (Wear OS)

• Open a search field in the Browser app → Dictate keyboard opens. (screenshot)
• Tap record → Audio records and transcribes. (screenshot)
• Issue: The transcribed text never renders or commits into the search input box at all. (screenshot)

3. Keep Notes (Working Baseline)

• Open Keep Notes → Create note → Record with Dictate keyboard. (screenshot, screenshot)
• Result: Text transcribes and inserts directly into the note without issues. (screenshot)
