The mission of the Developer Relations Foundation project is to elevate the professional practice of developer relations and increase awareness of it as a driver of business value

"DevRel Practitioner" Definition - What outlines the criteria? #63

• KC: Targeting individuals rather than organizations serving to define “practitioners”.
• SK: might be interesting to define the word “supporter” for organizations. Even though there are no financial support involved, there are organizations willing to support in terms of knowledge,
• AJ: We might need to build a glossary.md to tackle these terms (practitioner, supporter, etc)
• SK: is aligned with the build a knowledge base

Working Groups

• Karen: Is there a list of the working groups right now?
• AJ: Most likely, the challenges might convert in WG or SIGs with a few edits based on survey input
• Steven: I'm interested in forming a chapter and helping others with that. Are you planning to build regional chapters?
• Karen: Is there an expectation that the people leading these groups are experts on the topic?
• Jonathan: No, you don’t need to be an expert on the topic is more about people willing to help and have the time and commitment to take that role
• Hannah: the devrel relation survey tackles this developer first vs developer plus difference. How we approach devrel in this foundation?
• Jonathan: This can be a potential starting point / topics for one of the working groups
• Julie Hubschman, Trey Botard, and I attended DevRelCon NY and were definitely outsiders as Developer Plus in Fintech

• Karen: I think I’d like to help with “Developer personas and segments”. Also, should that say developer relation personas?
