UI/UX Issues Across Website Components
Description
I identified several UI/UX inconsistencies and broken elements while testing the application. These issues negatively impact user experience, navigation, and overall website quality.
Issues Identified
1. Missing Store Location Markers on India Map
Problem
- When navigating to the My Stores section, the markers on the India map are not displayed correctly.
- Instead of location pins, broken/invalid image placeholders appear.
Expected Behavior
- Valid store location markers should be displayed at their respective locations on the map.
Actual Behavior
- Broken marker images are shown, making store locations difficult to identify.
2. Missing Images in Marketplace Section
Problem
- Multiple images in the Marketplace tab fail to load.
- Broken image placeholders are visible across several listings.
Expected Behavior
- All marketplace items should display their corresponding images correctly.
Actual Behavior
- Missing images result in an incomplete and unprofessional appearance.
3. Update Favicon
Problem
- The current favicon appears outdated, missing, or inconsistent with the application's branding.
Expected Behavior
- The favicon should accurately represent the application's current logo and branding.
Actual Behavior
- The existing favicon does not align with the overall branding of the platform.
4. Invalid Hyperlink in Contact Section
Problem
- The "India" location text in the Contact section is wrapped inside an active hyperlink.
- Clicking the link redirects users to:
https://streeva-app.vercel.app/blog#
which is unrelated to the location information.
Expected Behavior
- The location text should either:
- Not be clickable, or
- Redirect to a relevant location/map page.
Actual Behavior
- Users are redirected to an irrelevant page, creating confusion.
5. Inconsistent Social Media Links
Problem
- Social media links/icons across the website show inconsistent behavior.
- Some links redirect incorrectly or lead to unexpected destinations.
Expected Behavior
- All social media icons should consistently redirect users to the appropriate official social media profiles.
Actual Behavior
- Inconsistent navigation results in a poor user experience.
Impact
- Poor user experience (UX)
- Broken visual elements
- Branding inconsistencies
- User confusion due to invalid redirects
- Reduced trust and professionalism of the platform
Suggested Fixes
- Verify and update map marker assets and paths.
- Audit all image sources in the Marketplace section.
- Replace the favicon with the latest brand asset.
- Remove or correct the invalid hyperlink associated with the "India" location text.
- Review and standardize all social media links to ensure they point to the correct destinations.
