Wear OS smart watch support

Is there a plan to add support for smartwatches?

I'm interested in working on a Wear OS companion for openGym.
My initial plan is to first add a small generic API for active workout sessions, so a companion client can fetch the prepared workout, start/resume a session, update sets and finish or discard it.

Initial API idea:

GET /api/session/preview
POST /api/session/start
GET /api/session/active
PATCH /api/session/active
POST /api/session/active/finish
DELETE /api/session/active

The Wear OS app would initially be a separate native Kotlin/Compose project consuming those APIs.
This is just my initial approach — I'm happy to adjust the API shape, naming or architecture to better fit the project's direction.
