Hello, thank you for your work and sharing this code. I am humbly pointing out some things which you likely already know in the hopes they can be fixed. I think the biggest issue with DVD right now is the fuzzy and speckled edges. I'm sure you know about it as it's pretty persistent, but I didn't see discussion on it. I am probably missing it.
Right now it needs a lot of blurring to help the fuzzy edges and the bright white specks that make little bits aggressively pop forward in 3d. The blurring of course comes with it's own issues and is only a partial fix. Here is an example of DVD where it is very clear in the center the fuzziness and dotted edges. Can also see that the windows aren't mapped correctly like the DC map below it.

Depthcrafter has some white specs sometimes as well which require blurring or a lower res depthmap sometimes helps. They are more rare though. DC is also getting the windows correctly.

Here is a link to the clip, but it's pretty common in any most clips at least that I do. Maybe higher res is a bit worse? I think if these two issues could be fixed this would be a solid base model to build off of.
Would also be amazing if DVD could be trained with particles and sfx. It completely misses things like sparks; explosions; gunfire flash; and snow etc. Below are a couple examples where the first is DVD that doesn't map these effects, the second is DC that is the best right now at catching these.
