How to Handle the Figure Environment?

Should we explicitly discourage figure and table environments or style them specifically?

I have never ever used them for slides. So not sure what people would expect.

So i thought of the tight boxes as a "recommended" way of including figures with titles.
In general I saw some students using it for their presentations (with the old template that is).

In general this is less a "We should discourage" it and more a 1) are we fine with the styling? and 2) should we recommend tight boxes?

Indeed, tight versions of our colored boxes would be more consistent with the style of the rest of the template. Are you proposing to redefine figure environments to be colored boxes or are you thinking about a warning here?
