Search suggestions doesn't work on 74.1.4

Hello,

I recently upgraded to 74.1.4 from 68.14.8b and now search engine from the combined search-address bar doesn't work anymore. It only searches in my browsing history and selects the most similar URL.

When I was using 68.14.8b I had enabled search from combined address bar with "keywords.enable" set to true on "about:config" and this way both search on browsing history and on search engine worked flawlessly. In 74.1.4 with that option enabled it doesn't work.

I have also tested a fresh install with a new profile. By default option "Provide search suggestions" is disabled in browser settings, so I enabled it, also "Show search suggestions in address bar results" and "Show search suggestions ahead of browsing history in address bar results" but they have no effect. It still only searches on browsing history.

If this about search suggestions only then duplicate: This is minor stuff broken long ago and no time to invest.
Keyword works fine for me

This isn't just search suggestions, I can't make searches from the URL bar whatsoever.

From previous issues I understand you hate using address bar to also search, and prefer using the dedicated search bar, and it's fine, this is your project and we appreciate your hard work. But this is not just breaking search suggestions, it's breaking search from address bar completely. Yes I did this, and told this above, search itself works fine.

I understand that many people prefer combined bar, I keep issue 101 pinned big on the page, if it broken completely, there was many more complains. So you may be missed something.

If you wrote the parameter name in about:config exactly as here, then this is the answer.

The correct name is keyword.enable, and when it is set to true Mypal 74.1.4 does use search engine from the address bar (but does not display search suggestions, however).
