For tags the big big win would be to enable search and filter based on tag set (eg "show me all innovations with any USPTO tags" or "show me all innovations tagged 'Java' using the Code for America project tags but not the Fair Trade product tags"

Thinking the tags are a good candidate for deeper implementation of Material Design. Maybe a tag is an element on a card with a header showing tagset origin and a couple actions like "More Info on this Tag" and "Report Accuracy or Spam Problem with this tag".
