Cant use split windows VSCode if FluidCAD extension installed and active

I thought I'd open a 2nd file below my current focus as a reference and it just closes immediately.
I disabled the FluidCAD extension and splits work again.

I designed this to work with only 2 columns, one for the editor and one for preview. I'll mark this as bug as splits are used by many users.
