Hey! Just wanted to say thanks — your splitscreen installer is what finally got this working on my Steam Deck. I've had a fork going where I've been tinkering and adding stuff (a lot of it AI-generated, honestly), all up on GitHub with credit back to you. Nothing commercial, not trying to spin it into its own app — just a hobby thing for my own Deck.

Honestly the reason I'm even writing: the AI I've been building with keeps nagging me that your repo has no license on it. So, figured I'd just ask — no pressure at all, but would you be up for adding one sometime (MIT, or whatever you'd prefer)? Just makes it a bit cleaner to have a public fork sitting out there, and it'll get the robot off my back. Happy to open a PR with an MIT file if that's easier — and totally cool if you'd rather leave it as is.

Some nice QoL stuff you've added on your fork - and you've tested it all yourself fairly extensively? Or only just finished dev on it?

Cheers! Credit where it's due, though — the installer and the splitscreen itself are both FlyingEwok's; that's the foundation. What I've built on top is making it dynamic: controllers hotplug in and out mid-session with instances spawning and tearing down on the fly, per-player controller isolation, and crash/reconnect recovery — plus a test suite to keep it honest.

It's had a fair bit of real hardware testing (I run a staged suite on the Deck itself), but it's still actively in development toward a proper tagged release — so expect the odd rough edge.

And yeah, mods work out of the box: the installer handles them (Modrinth by default, plus a bring-your-own-key option for CurseForge), and it ships with Controlify for controller support. Happy to answer anything if you fancy giving it a spin.
