Welcome — start here

[dvejsada]

Welcome! A quick orientation so conversations land in the right place.

Where things go

You want to…	Go to
Ask how something works	Q&A
Propose a change or feature	Ideas — check the roadmap threads first
Report an error, contradiction, or ambiguity in the spec	Issues
Show something you built	Show and tell

Reading order, if you're new

1. The README — the idea in five minutes
2. examples/simple/ — real documents you can read in any editor
3. The specification when you need the exact rule

A note on design philosophy — proposals are most persuasive when they engage with the standing commitments in CONTRIBUTING: no hardcoded numbers in source, content/presentation separation, determinism across implementations, and minimal extensions to CommonMark. Several tempting features (signature markup, a meta directive, cross-document references) are deliberately absent from v0.1 — see §18 of the spec and the roadmap threads in Ideas before proposing them fresh.
