Comment icons obscure the underlying text

When a comment is added using the "add a review comment" button, a speech bubble icon is added to the document. Depending on where the user clicked (and exacerbated when lots of review comments are added in close proximity) this can obscure the original text, making it hard for subsequent users to understand the context of the comment and / or add further review comments.

Possible solutions could include:

• Render the speech bubble icon as semi-transparent
• Add a "hide markup" toggle which can be used to temporarily remove the speech bubble icons

I just realised that I can drag the speech bubble icon which corresponds to a comment posted by someone else.

That can be used as a workaround for this issue ... but could also lead to comments being misinterpreted, for example if the icon is moved to point to a completely different part of the document. So perhaps this should be prevented.
