Equipment tracking #26
Description
There are several types of equipment at conventions that often need to be manually tracked when changing hands. To facilitate this, Tracker could have a system for checking out and checking back in equipment. Brainstorming:
- QR codes (or another type of barcode) could be generated to be printed and stuck on items to quickly check them in/out
- Equipment could be assigned to departments, allowing only people assigned to their departments (Allow users to be associated with a department per-event #8) to check them out
- Managers and/or department leads could see a list of equipment currently checked out, as well as a full checkin/out log for all of their equipment items
- Reminders could be automatically sent via Telegram to help make sure checked out equipment isn't lost
