Extending a rank to create additional stops #132

PitchTuning can go between +/- 1800 cent (Organ, Windchest, Rank (equal Stop internal rank), Pipe).
No. +/- 1800 is the max each level. You can test creating a 2' rank, HarmonicNumber 32, from an original 8' stop by setting Rank PitchTuning to 1200, then start loading the samples from MIDI matching 048, for the last pipes without samples use flexible pipe loading and back down an octave (like loading highest c# from 085) and setting PitchTuning for that pipe to 1200 and copy that to remaining pipes. For me, the highest pipes start sounding a bit funny above the normal +1800 cumulative pitch, but it seems to currently be allowed without a warning. Not something I'd recommend though. In my experience you get much better quality to create the extensions that require anything more than +/-1800 cents in an audio editor.
It should be set to whatever you intend the rank to be (taking into account how you've re-tuned the samples with PitchTuning and/or other sample loading tricks). |

How far can an 8' rank be extended using an odf to produce other stops like 16', 4', 2' 2/3, 2', 1' 3/5, 1'?
By tuning + or - 1200 you get the 4' and 16'. That's OK. But will the software (GOOdf and GO) take higher values of tuning? And if yes, how far?
Somewhere I think I read max allowed is +/- 2500. Am I correct?
The second question would follow...... what should the Harmonic numbers be for the respective stops created? Should they all be set at 8 as with the original 8' rank they are derived from?
