Image Offset for specifically the Pedal images #134

The limit comes from GrandOrgue as can be found in the in the help: This makes me wonder if maybe you're trying to use the property in a not intended way. It's really only intended for displacing a single key from where it normally would be positioned, it's not supposed to affect the position of any previous/next key. At least nowadays, I more or less only use the Offset properties for manual sharps that need to be displaced in a non standard way (eg. other than half of the sharp image width). As such, for pedals, another type of layout is normally required. I think that a better way to control the position of the next key to be placed, especially if you have overlapping key images for a different perspective than just straight from above or behind, is to change the Key999Width properties accordingly. I think I've done a version with unique key images in the updated Bureå church sample set. In the Piteå school of music sample set I think I did a kind of hybrid version (eg. Key999 properties only for some of the keys) to get the pedal sharps to form an arc. |

Hi,
I am attempting to create a unique Grand Orgue definition and I am very familiar with GOODF.exe and Have the latest version.
I ran into an issue with using original graphics of a 30 note flat pedalboard. When building the Panels on the main panel I have only the console view, so the keyboards are quite large and take up more than half the screen. The upper manual is slightly smaller than the bottom keyboard.
The manual keys were no problem because I created a set of larger ivory keys so I created the standard CF, BE, GDA images and the sharp up and down. This worked perfectly with the size I created building the keyboards Great and Swell by using only the letter keys and sharps feature and the software distributed the keys perfectly with the starting and ending keys.
When I linked the Pedal Keys (which were proportional to the manual keys) so much larger than the manuals as in real life. I have an image for every key so 30 images off and on. I used the "KeyXXX" method when building the panel.
The GO ODF.exe will not allow for an offset greater than -500 pixels. The first attempt - I had a pedalboard that needed to have offsets for most of the keys since each key is a different size.
I reduced the PNG images by 80% - This was better than the first attempt, but I got to the second "F" and was unable to complete the offset settings for most of the rest of the keys.
I reduced the PNG files again by 80%. Much better, only the last 5 keys had to have an offset of greater than 500 pixels.
I know that if I reduce the images again by 80% I should be able to space the keys appropriately, but the pedalboard will be about half the size of the bottom manual keys. Not great, but I guess better than nothing. Apparently there is a limit for the offset amount -500 and +500.
This happened also starting at the top key of "f". Unable to space the keys appropriately after about 10 keys.
Will this limitation be permanent?
Thanks,
Jeffery
