Summary
I want Gradle included as an option out of the gate
Proposed Solution
have both maven and gradle flavored documents and workflows. users will have to delete the ones they dont use - much quicker for users to remove something they're not using than to make something of their own / copy from another repo.
Alternative
separate branches for the different build tools?
