The stirges on the 1st floor of the Temple are not quite working right in combat. When you enter the room they are located in, you hear the music for the start of combat, but combat is not actually initiated and none of the stirges actually attack you. If you start combat yourself (with the 'C' key), the party and the stirges will enter initiative properly, but if you attack and kill one of the hidden stirges manually (and it goes down), you just kill that stirge and then drop out of combat again. A similar issue occurs when you run into stirges for a random encounter (combat doesn't start while the music plays), but you can just manually start combat yourself and everything works out fine, with the stirges attacking on their turn like they're supposed to. Brute-forcing it doesn't seem to work in the Temple, though, and the only way to clear the room is by manually killing each stirge.
