Fix Mac-only issues in QSystems

On Mac right now, the app closes right after starting (registration works though). Seems to break in QSystem (again). Also it seems the deprecated API calls are still in.

Maybe we should not use QSystems on Mac anymore, as the support seems to be non-existing, see the other issue #189
