Manifesto
Hello, I'm Sam and I'm running to be the Treasurer of HackSoc.
Treasury Experience
- As current Treasurer of LEGO Society, another great society in this wonderful University, I am already familiar with the training and processes that gives me a head start in managing the finances for HackSoc.
- As part of this role, I may have viewed the finances for HackSoc already as an interested party. And I may have let the current treasurer know how much money he currently handles when casually discussing with him.
- Being fully aware of how the Student's Union operates, I am able to very quickly process new expenses ensuring they are not fraudulent or otherwise mismanaged.
What I'll Do
- Ensure that relevant funding is applied for and the society continues to not run a deficit.
- Attempt to generate a net surplus to guarantee the survivability of the society without having to strain reserves.
- This will not compromise the events or your experience in HackSoc!
- Be present and available at events and socials, being a welcoming face.
- Be a pair of hands in other society affairs should they be required.
- Perhaps suggest a collaboration with a certain society about LEGO!!!
