Hello, folks. I have the QuirkLogic Papyr (https://www.quirklogic.com/products/papyr), which is the exact same physical device as the Sony Digital Paper A4 (Gen.1), Fujitsu Quaderno A4 (Gen. 1), and mooInk Pro A4 (Gen. 1).
The InkWorks cloud platform, long the backbone of QuirkLogic's E-Ink devices, is going offline on March 1. (It seems likely that the company is going out of business.)
To keep the Papyr useful past March 1, I wonder if someone here might know how to re-flash the device (as an end user) with Sony's OS (or Fujitsu's or another company's that has at least an English language option for the UI).
Nothing ever shows in any file manager for the Papyr device (in an up-to-date Manjaro GNU/Linux installation) when I connect it via USB; QuirkLogic's firmware only lets the end user use USB for charging. Similarly, SSH is not available. I did try installing the Digital Paper App as a quick test (inside Windows 10 in a VM with full USB passthrough), but the Papyr is (predictably) not recognized.
This repository seems to be the best place on the Web to ask for assistance.
Cheers.
