I didn't expect to have the option to post a comment on the site, but I decided to do so as a way of thanking you for the legacy you left us as a game developer. You mention the time capsule project with your old Super Mario fangames as a bad past, but I don't see it that way.

I know many people have harshly criticized your work throughout your game development career, but in my case, you were a special part of my childhood. Your games amazed me greatly, and perhaps it was all a product of nostalgia, but replaying these games in the time capsule version, I realized that I still love them very much.

I don't see any problems with the level design, especially in the more recent games in the collection. In fact, I even find them clever, in a way. Fun puzzles, some more challenging levels, and interesting mechanics. I don't care much if they were made using the same engine, because the games are indeed very polished. In fact, the aesthetics of Super Mario Bros. 3, especially some of the visual effects in certain games and the music, gave me a super immersive experience.

Therefore, I say that if there are people who criticize and belittle your work, even with years of remarkable improvements, especially compared to your first projects, there will always be those who admire and respect you as well, because we can't please everyone, but in the world there will always be someone on your side. Thank you for all your work and for being an important part of my journey as a gamer and fan of Mario games.
