TODO:
- check recency of updates to the rxivist data snapshots
- per @rabdill, the "articles" table has a "last_crawled" field that indicates the last time download metrics were updated (should be within 14 days of the snapshot)
- identify a generic curve through views / time since upload
- this will allow a better calibration of preprint popularity compared to views/day, which can fluctuate depending on whether it's being averaged over 2 months or 3 months of views
Eventually:
- explore what other information can be reasonably looked up
- author information (career stage, number of pubs/preprints, geographical location, other attributes?)
