Tella does not respect auto-rotation

Expected behavior

Tella (foss 2.0.15 on Android 13) does not seem to respect autorotation. Viewing media files with a wide aspect ratio in portrait mode is awkward. Is this intended?

Actual behavior

Application follows rotation.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Enable auto-rotate in phone settings
2. View video file in Tella
3. Rotate phone

Hello!! Yes, unfortunately we don't support auto-rotation yet. It's not a bug, it's jut a feature that haven't been implemented yet, as we will need to refactor the UI of the app. We don't have the capacity to tackle this soon.

However, we understand that specially for viewing media (photo, videos) portrait mode is not ideal. A workaround that we will be working during the next few months is to alow users to edit media directly on Tella. When this is implemented, they will be able to rotate each photo or video and hopefully it will make the experience a bit better.
