Brief Description
For the Datastore Search website, sitemapper produces an index sitemap, which lists all the other available sitemaps (each one listing a set of activity pages available by IATI Identifier). Sitemapper lists as available more sitemaps than are needed. When I checked, 32 Datastore Search sitemaps had unique content, but the sitemap index listed 35 sitemaps available.
It doesn't cause any problem: the Function App allows you to fetch a sitemap with any index, e.g., you can request sitemap-4949494.xml, and no error is produced. When this happens, the App just returns a sitemap with a link to the /about page and some instruction pages.
But, whenever this code is next looked at, it may be worth adjusting so that the sitemap index accurately reflects what is available.
