🎊 Expanded Strings Beta release 🎊
Expanded Strings (Also referred to as NStrings) has finally reached a point where I feel like its finally hit the beta stages of what I think it will be like at time of release! With this there are some serious stylistic changes that are coming or are already here.
No more source code, no more sln's!
I always aspired to have this project be turned into a library rather then be source code forever and with the beta release that aspiration is finally reality! That means from this point on aside from any files Github needs to have in the project and aside from txt files the only two files in any given release will be
NString_Static.libandnstring.hwhich are the only files really needed to use this library in your own project. What about open source?
Having open source wasn't necessarily something I planned to keep around. However, I'd be happy to provide some level of open source access in the future if there is even a demand for that. For now suggestions for features or bug reporting can be done here
When can the full release be expected?
Hard to say, I didn't really set the markers for a full release quite just yet. However most of the major hurdles for this project I believe have been crossed. With that said updates towards that full release may be coming out slightly slower then they did in Alpha as there are quite a few more steps between each revision I do.
For now that's all I have to say. I hope to have more good news for you all soon 😸
