Laser not working during UFO waves

Since the latest update it appears that during UFO waves the laser either isn't working entirely, or is just not visibly firing - I think it's the former based on DPS indicators. As soon as the UFO encounter is finished and the next wave begins the laser will begin firing again.

It was not working in the previous versions either, that is because the laser works much differently compared to other weapons, so it's bugged (the sniper for example isn't tied to the player code, hence why it works normally)
