Different roles for different CCM users.

Hello!

I have more questions to you....

1. What does IRIS and the 'U' in UCCM mean? Is it a shortcut for something?

2. I found out that there are different user roles in the CCM. If I want to create a new CCM user (logged in as admin), I can choose between the roles AccountManager, admin and remote. I did not understand the differences. Could someone explain that to me please? Is there a option to create new roles?

1. The IRIS, is just the working name for the whole open source effort. Iris is a part of your eyes ("monitoring") is also a flower, and happens to be the name of two employees daughters. UCCM is something that has just followed and should be removed from the code base. The U stands for "Utveckling" which is development in Swedish.

2. Right now new roles are not possible to create dynamically. It's always difficult to set user roles. Generally we strive to make as much open for everyone to change and edit information. Too many administrative accounts just makes the information out of date. But right now it's like this:

• Admin: Can do everything
• AccountManager: Edit and create accounts
• Remote: Can control codec's on the front-page and edit comments. Used by our advanced users of the system.
